Enhancing the Performance of Food and Beverage Manufacturing Companies through Debt Capital in Nigeria (2012-2021)

This study examined how to enhance the performance of food and beverage companies through debt capital in Nigeria. The used secondary data sourced from financial statements selected foods beverages between 2012 2021. A sample four (4) listed firms was purposively population eight (8) manufacturing on Nigerian Exchange Group Plc as 31st December 2021 based availability data. employed panel models fixed effect random for analysis. Findings revealed that coefficient −0.008 with a P-value 0.94 > 0.05 showed negative insignificant impact short-term debts firms, while 0.032 0.76 found positive long- term companies. also firms’ total assets were financed by 40 % 16% long-term debt. concluded results mixed application negatively enhanced Nigeria, usage positively similar firms. study, therefore, recommended Nigeria finance their activities.
